How GameDataStream Verifies Information

Trust comes from showing what was checked, when it was checked, and what the result does not guarantee.

Metadata and media

Administrators compare titles, versions, requirements, publishers and developers with Steam, SteamDB and official sources. Posters and screenshots are attached to the matching game record.

Version history

Changing a game version in the admin panel records the previous version, current version and publication time in the public update history.

Download link availability

External links are checked automatically for network availability. A successful check means the remote server responded; it does not verify every byte hosted behind that link.

File identity

Uploaded torrent files receive MD5 and SHA-256 identifiers. These values help users confirm file identity and detect changes, but hashes alone are not malware scans.

Moderation and corrections

Administrators review submitted games and community content before publication when moderation is required. Users can report broken links or incorrect information through the contact page.
